Arrival at Buenos Aires airport and transfer to your accommodation.
This excursion transmits the emotion of a multiple Buenos Aires. We will get to know the symbol of our city: the Obelisk. We will go through squares like Mayo, San Martín and Alvear. Avenues: Corrientes, De Mayo, 9 de Julio, among others. Neighborhoods with history like La Boca and San Telmo, sumptuous like Palermo and Recoleta, modern like Puerto Madero. The parks Lezama and Tres de Febrero, and commercial and financial areas and the Football Stadium.
Transfer to the airport. Flight to Trelew. Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Puerto Madryn.
We depart from the city of Puerto Madryn, heading south along National Route No. 3 (almost 190 km of paved road) toward the Punta Tombo Nature Reserve, the most important penguin colony in the Americas.
Upon arrival, we will pay the entrance fee and visit the interpretation center, where we can observe the local wildlife and learn everything necessary to enter the reserve and understand the behavior of the penguins.
After leaving the interpretation center, a minibus will take us to the beginning of the trails, where our walk of approximately 1.5 to 2 km begins.
At the end of the walk, we can have lunch at the reserve’s café before starting our return journey to the city, making a stop in Gaiman, a town located along the banks of the Chubut River.
This is an old Welsh colony set in a unique landscape of tree-lined plots, rugged cliffs, and rock faces marked by erosion.
We then continue our journey back to Puerto Madryn.
Transfer to Bahía Bustamante. Welcome in the afternoon. Historic city tour around the town. We will also visit the working place where the seaweed harvest is carried out. There we get to know a varied number of species being marketed by our company, their processes and uses.
During the visit, we can also go to archaeological sites such as aboriginal working areas and cemeteries.
According to the tide table and weather conditions, activities for the next day will be coordinated.
Dinner and night in Bahia Bustamante.
After having breakfast, we gather at the grocery store and assess the weather report and the tide tables to determine whether sailing is possible. Navigation along this quiet cove towards the Vernacci Islands, which are home to Sea Lions (4000 animals during breeding season), Magellan Penguins (100.000 – Season: October to March) and colorful Marine Bird colonies. Navigation is done during high tide hours and with the right weather conditions.
A 4×4 ride combined with a moderate trekking to the Petrified Forest, located 18 miles away from the Lodge within the limits of our land. The Petrified Forest is a journey to the past. Exactly some 60 million years ago expressed in petrified trees and pieces of wood. During the visit, we will be able to observe all kinds of Steppe wildlife too (lesser rheas, guanacos, maras, and more)
A Peninsula with sandy beaches, crystal clear water and reddish rocks. Perfect for biking, trekking or touring in our 4×4 trucks, not only to wonderful beaches, but also to sites of great archeological and geological importance. A number of natural swimming pools are formed in between the rocks, and these are great fun for swimming with a view to the open ocean. The peninsula is a world of wonders to enjoy. In the afternoon return to Puerto Madryn.
Transfer from Puerto Madryn to the airport of Trelew for your departure flight. Arrival at Buenos Aires and connection with your international flight.
