Best Hiking Routes in Patagonia Argentina

In this article, we invite you to explore some of the most fascinating trails in Argentine Patagonia, stretching across the provinces of Neuquén, Río Negro, Chubut, and Tierra del Fuego—with key recommendations to enjoy the adventure safely, mindfully, and fully.

Recommendations:

  • Choose routes based on your experience level and physical condition.
  • Check trail conditions, weather forecasts, safety updates, access requirements, etc.
  • Start early to make the most of daylight hours.
  • Only make fires in designated areas, and make sure they are fully extinguished before leaving.
  • Most trails do NOT have cell signal, so don’t rely on your phone as your only safety tool. However, you can download Maps.me or save your route beforehand.
  • Don’t litter. Carry your waste with you and dispose of it properly at the end of the hike. This helps preserve the park and protect the environment.
  • Stay hydrated—we recommend 2 liters of water per person.
